Overview
Generate leads, manage sales process, and close deals for building material products.

Tasks
-Identify and execute on opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell -Provide timely and accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval -Will occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. -Establish rapport with customers, building long-term, repeat customer relationships -Maintain accurate records of sales activity, sales, and pricing -Responsible for all steps of sales process, including: preparing action plans by accounts and product line, effective search and follow-through of sales leads and new customers -Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization; invest in building relationships with the Field Operations and Field Support Center team members. -Help champion an inclusive working environment; empower others to bring their full selves to the workplace; celebrate, welcome, and value the different backgrounds and experiences that make up our workforce; recognize that all team members are valued, regardless of race, background, tenure, or title. -Gather competitive market and pricing information

What You Bring
-Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative. -Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur. -Ability to self-manage is critical, as well extensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management. -Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers. -Knowledge of and experience with Excel preferred -Must be able to receive and analyze sales and financial information. -Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects. -Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 70% of the time. -3-5 years sales experience preferred -Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done. -Must be able to operate basic office machinery. -Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. -Must be able to multitask. -Be proficient in product knowledge to assist the customer in buying decisions -Strong Microsoft office skills -Bachelor’s degree is preferred -Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results. -Knowledge of building materials and construction industry strongly preferred -Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
