Tasks

-Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. -Ensure performance and budget compliance to meet client expectations and contractual obligations. -Ensure timely setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. -Schedule and assign daily tasks and projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work. -Conduct regular safety training and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. -Collaborate with other departments and facility management to coordinate custodial activities. -Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect staff and facility occupants. -Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to custodial services and workplace safety. -Prepare and present reports on custodial activities, progress, and issues to management. -Coordinate and manage custodial support for facility events and projects. -Inspect work areas regularly to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. -Monitor and control expenses to stay within budgetary constraints. -Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure satisfaction. -Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members. -Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures, including floor care, window washing, restroom sanitation, and trash removal. -Supervise, train, and manage a team of custodians and janitorial staff. -Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering materials as needed to support operations. -Manage the facilities custodial services budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

What You Bring

-High school diploma or GED required; degree in facilities management, hospitality, or a related field preferred. -Effective communication and interpersonal skills. -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in custodial or janitorial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. -Experience with custodial management software and tools. -Relevant certifications such as Certified Custodial Technician (CCT) or Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) preferred. -Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating cleaning equipment. -Attention to detail and commitment to quality. -Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. -Excellent leadership and team management skills. -Computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft programs is a must. -Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully complete all screenings requirements for ABM and the client. -Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. -Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
