Tasks

-Provide expert technical support, direction, and advice in analyzing and evaluating generator systems, equipment, and programs. -Lead and support project management activities, including scoping, scheduling, budget development, cost tracking, and oversight of complex projects to meet cost and time objectives. -Apply scientific and engineering principles, along with advanced technical skills, to support engineering activities such as outage planning and root cause analysis. -Develop new approaches to complex problems and establish engineering criteria to ensure compliance with design standards. -Plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. -Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments, and analyze results to improve processes and recommend outage solutions. -This role will support not only the existing synchronous generator fleet but also potential new generation.

What You Bring

-Ability to conduct and interpret standard tests and measurements (e.g., high voltage electrical testing, DC hipot, EL CID). -4-year non-technical degree and post-graduate degree in Engineering Technology or Engineering (not ABET-accredited); or -Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint -4-year Engineering Technology degree or 4-year degree in Engineering (not ABET-accredited); or -In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and practices, especially in generator stator and rotor diagnostics, repairs, and testing. -Proficiency in understanding schematics and drawings. -knowledge in outage planning, and execution. -Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. -Excellent organization and personal computer skills, including applicable software programs. -4-year degree in Physics, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline; or -Ability to function effectively both independently and as a member of a technical team. -Experience in project management, team collaboration, and leadership roles. -Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in generator engineering. -Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and customer service.
