The Role

Overview

Perform carpentry repairs & maintenance in occupied social housing homes.

Tasks

-Work professionally and respectfully in residents’ homes, maintaining a clean and safe working environment -Identify and report any additional works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues beyond the scope of the job -Make good following repairs, including basic patch plastering or tiling as needed -Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times -Provided high levels of customer care -Repair or replace timber flooring, stair components, and handrails where required -Fit and adjust kitchen units, worktops, cupboard doors, and pelmets -Replace and repair internal doors, frames, handles, locks, and hinges -Install or replace skirting boards, architraves, and other decorative joinery -Carry out day-to-day carpentry repairs in occupied properties as part of a responsive maintenance service -Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations -Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets

What You Bring

-Full UK driving licence -Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a carpentry position -Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills -Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes -Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota -Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work -Experience in the above duties -Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices -Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
