Overview

Perform general building, equipment, and system maintenance across multiple trades.

Tasks

-Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices -replace broken hardware on doors, replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets -Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments -PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies -Lifting and adjusting heavy objects, contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment -Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties -Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment -ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate -Establish priorities to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner -Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) -Perform routine preventive maintenance

What You Bring

-MUST have a Top Secret Clearance -TS/SCI clearance -High school diploma or equivalent -Adaptable and flexible in work situations -Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking -Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one -Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces -4+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades -Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping -Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted -Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check -U. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations -Regular, dependable attendance -MUST have SCI eligibility -Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions -Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in both rough and finished carpentry in COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL settings
