Tasks

-Embed Safety in Design principles throughout engineering activities, conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring compliance. -Deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose mechanical, materials handling and piping engineering solutions that meet quality standards, project budgets, and schedules. -Provide clear project communication, offering concise updates, addressing challenges proactively, and maintaining alignment with stakeholders. -Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, effective delegation and mentorship to multidiscipline design team. -Drive development and continuous improvement of mechanical and piping design tools, including drawings, datasheets, equipment schedules and models -Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and office locations, contributing through all phases of projects, from concept and design to commissioning. -Develop scopes of work, technical studies, proposals, and capital cost estimates, supporting both project execution and tendering efforts. -Support onsite activities, including inspections, risk assessments, and commissioning, ensuring seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. -Execute and review detailed mechanical and piping engineering work, including design calculations for bulk materials handling plants, wet process plants and heavy industry

What You Bring

We will only be accepting applicants residing in Australia with current working rights, at this time. -Extensive background in multidisciplinary consulting environments, collaborating across diverse teams and complex project portfolios -Over 12+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer, specialising in design within the resources, and renewables sectors. -Current RPEQ (Mechanical) and CPEng professional memberships (mandatory) -Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or related tertiary qualification) -Demonstrated extensive materials handling design, including both wet and dry mineral processing plants. -Strong foundation in industry codes, design safety standards, and best practices, with a practical, safety-conscious approach to engineering. -Skilled in technical writing and communication, including proposals, technical reports, and project documentation. -You will have experience leading the mechanical design and delivery of materials handling systems including conveyors, chutes, bins, feeders, stackers and sizers.
