Technical Support Engineer troubleshooting EV chargers (hardware, software, power electronics)

Tasks

-Analysing power flow and system behaviour to identify faults. -And — you’ll be helping accelerate the shift to Net Zero. -Helping clients get set up and integrated smoothly. -Work on cutting-edge charging hardware and power electronics. -You’ll be part of a team making EV charging more reliable and accessible. -Troubleshooting issues across chargers — hardware, software, power electronics, and comms (including OCPP). -Testing new hardware/software and giving feedback before launch. -Using Linux tools and diagnostics to get to the root of problems. -Working with our development teams to fix bugs and improve products.

What You Bring

-2-3 years in technical support, field engineering, or systems troubleshooting. -Solid problem-solving and analytical skills. -Global exposure with teams in Europe, the US, and Australia. -Experience in B2B technical support or customer success is a plus. -A background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or similar (degree or equivalent). -Comfortable working both independently and as part of global teams. -Strong skills with Linux, networking, and debugging tools. -Experience (or curiosity) with OCPP and communication protocols. -Writing clear support docs and making processes better. -We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer who loves solving tough problems across hardware, software, networks, and power electronics. If you enjoy digging into Linux logs, tracing OCPP messages, and also understand how electrical current flows through power modules, this role is for you. -Strong communication — able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical people. -Good understanding of power flow, converters, and power electronics systems.
