Provide nursing assistant career technical training to Job Corps students.

Tasks
-Cultivate and maintain a climate on Center which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect. Provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn. -The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. -They work closely with students and other office staff. -Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work. -Administer and correct tests. Maintain progress and attendance reports. -Provide students with CTT instruction in a designated area of instruction. -Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. -Monitor student progress in the program by ensuring compliance with established Data Integrity guidelines. This includes the accurate and timely reporting of student progress and skill acquisition on Training Achievement Records (TARs), auditing of active and terminated TARs, other documentation sensitive to Data Integrity policies. -Access and training students to use computers and applicable software. -Coordinate with other industry team members to resolve issues affecting student training. -Develop and prepare lessons. Recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials. -Communicate with people daily by telephone, e-mail, and in person. -Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives. -Assist in developing community linkages and partnerships. -Teach, model, and evaluate student employability skills. -Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition, and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed. -Participate in student performance evaluations. Prepare required documentation and evaluations. -Develop and conduct enrichment program as assigned. -Maintain accountability of students and property. Adhere to safety practices. -Control use of supplies, materials, and equipment. Recommend purchases. -Transport students for training purposes as needed.

What You Bring
-Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with all departments -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. -Previous Job Corps experience in an academic/instruction capacity. -Timely and cost effective performance of duties. -Certified Licensed Registered Nurse. -State of Mississippi teaching credential or industry-recognized certification. -Completed a course in teaching adults, or have experience in teaching adults, or supervising nurses’ aides. -Work somewhat close to other people, such as when sharing office space. -Successfully pass background check and drug test. -Strong analytical skills to interpret and manage data. -Compliance with company standard operating procedures and personnel policies and procedures. -Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, and/or study habits. -Two (2) years’ experience in the practice of nursing; one (1) of which must be in long-term care facility services. -Valid driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record. -Ability to effectively communicate and present information to students, management and line staff, corporate and DOL personnel and public groups. -This position requires the employee to be able to frequently required to sit, stand, walk and talk or hear. -Adherence to established company safety policies and ability to work in a safe manner, using any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as may be required. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
