Overview

Lead PLC/SCADA design, commissioning, and client coordination for data-center project

Tasks

-Anticipate customer needs, identify risks, and coordinate proactive solutions. -Review and redline P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, and as-built drawings. -Drive Financial Strength – Deliver quality efficiently and continuously improve. -Support IT/OT network architecture, server/VM setup, and cybersecurity compliance. -Collaborate with project managers to ensure scope, schedule, and budget success. -Technical leadership: Mentor junior engineers, lead FAT/SAT, and ensure project quality through Thermo’s QMS. -Oversee system start-up, commissioning, and testing (FAT/SAT) while mentoring field teams. -Drive Customer Success – Take ownership, communicate proactively, and exceed expectations. -Specify instrumentation, I/O lists, and cause-and-effect matrices; ensure all designs meet standards and cost goals. -Lead design, programming, and integration of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, AVEVA, Ignition). -Hands-on impact: Drive PLC logic, HMI/SCADA development, and commissioning for one of the industry’s most advanced automation programs.

What You Bring

-Education: B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent experience). -Experience: 5–7+ years in controls/automation, including 3+ years in project engineering or technical leadership. -Soft Skills: Strong communicator, analytical thinker, steady under pressure, and team-oriented. -Technical Skills: PLC and SCADA/HMI programming, field commissioning, instrumentation, and network integration. -Other: Valid driver’s license; work authorization in the U.S.; fit for duty.
