Tasks

-Recommendations: Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents. -Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them. -Product and Solution Development: Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products. -Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals. -Policy Development and Implementation: Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals. -Audit: Work within established audit control systems to deliver specified outcomes or provide general support. -Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards. -Business Requirements Identification: Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals. -Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends. -Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field -Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection -Expert knowledge and experience with the interpretation and application of ICC codes, as well as NFPA and other relevant client and industry standards -Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely -At least 6 years of industry experience with fire protection system design and/or code consulting -Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups -Exposure to the application of fire modeling (i.e. FDS, CONTAM, Pathfinder, CFAST, etc.) preferred
