Overview

Manage subcontracting for module yard fabrication, including negotiation, contracts, and procurement.

Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Lead the evaluation and monitoring of contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes. -Coordinate with Expediting to monitor Kiewit furnished equipment to ensure goods s arrive on time and manage any issue resolutions related to undelivered items and tasks -Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate module yard proposals to identify subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution, and site purchasing levels. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Complete project planning for estimating, execution, and subcontract administration. -Actively develop budgets, schedules, and performance plans to meet customer and company goals and objectives. -Research and evaluate module yards based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history. -Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with international and domestic module yards.

What You Bring

-Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills -Minimum of six years of procurement/subcontracting experience in an engineering or construction environment; experience in EPC environment highly desirable -High proficiency in contract negotiation -Several years experience in module yard subcontracting (must) -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Advanced knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality, subcontract administration, and site purchasing -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and have a general knowledge of database utilization; SAP Experience a plus -Detail-oriented, highly motivated with ability to effectively manage time -Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent degree or professional or military experience -Regular, reliable attendance
