Purchasing Coordinator

Tasks

-Purchase supply of products/materials -Supporting the plant management team with Capital Expenditure Requisitions -Monitor order expenses, analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of materials delivered -Managing the plant’s supply of materials -Prepare requisitions and purchase orders -Receive orders and document arrivals -Track and record orders -Address and/or resolve delivery time issues -Liaise with supplies and project managers regarding updates and details of supplies/materials -Source and interview vendors; negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations -Determine the lowest cost for products/materials -Researching, identifying and negotiating with vendors -Manage inventory supplies; including daily production entry and verification.

What You Bring

-College Degree in a related field -1 to 5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement role -Mechanically inclined ability -Negotiation and problem-solving skills required -Ability to work under one own initiative -Experience with a larger ERP such as JD Edwards -Interpersonal and relationship building skills -Multi-tasking and the ability to juggle competing priorities -Ability to work under pressure and toward deadlines -Excellent written and verbal communication skills
