Tasks

-Encourages experimentation when faced with new challenges. -Support discipline-specific needs by collaborating with Technicians & Specialists to develop and maintain Revit families, content libraries, and automation tools to improve design efficiency. -Collaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to define and interpret BIM Execution Plans aligned with client requirements and contractual obligations. -Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and workflows consistent with industry best practices and ISO 19650. -Promotes a culture of collaboration across roles and teams. -Anticipates and responds proactively to changes in client needs, priorities, and/or expectations, ensuring quality results. -Facilitates an efficient, consistent workflow and exchange of information. -Expects and drives high-quality results and welcomes innovative strategies, especially in times of change. -Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusion within your team. -Maintains the confidence of clients and colleagues, especially when handling sensitive information. -Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to success throughout job functions. -Partner with the BIM Technical Director to execute the firm’s BIM strategic vision, aligning with operational, quality, and technology objectives. -Creates a sense of urgency to tackle problems and rewards responsiveness. -Mentor and train BIM Technicians, Specialists, and Leads to develop technical mastery, coordination skills, and leadership capabilities. -Provide feedback to Sector leadership to inform technical strategies. -Track and report BIM performance metrics, including FTE utilization, KPI’s, and process efficiency gains. -Provide advanced technical support to BIM Leads and project teams in setup, execution, QA/QC, and coordination of BIM deliverables. -Promote consistent use of support queues and BIM toolkits across assigned sectors. -Promotes an environment where people openly share their expertise, experiences, opinions, ideas, and perspectives. -Navigates difficult conversations with diplomacy and leverages cooperative efforts to resolve conflict. -Coordinate with IT and other BIM/VDC teams to ensure smooth operation of BIM-related software, cloud services, and network systems. -Adjusts communication based on needs and make-up of audience. -Serve as subject matter expert in Henderson’s workflows and ensure correct application in project delivery. -Drive compliance with company workflows, ensure adherence to BIM milestone responsibilities. -Examines mistakes, clarifies lessons learned, and applies to future work. -Leverages area of expertise to contribute to team and company goals. -Models financially responsible behaviors and coaches others to be fiscally mindful as employee-owners. -Fosters positive client relationships and coaches others to do the same, striving for best-in-class service and internal and external client satisfaction. -Oversee quality control reviews to ensure models meet internal standards, client expectations, and coordination requirements. -Leads by example, challenges assumptions, and creates candid feedback loops. -Deliver targeted training on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices. -Manage and oversee a team of BIM staff, including Technicians, Specialists, and Leads, by setting clear expectations, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals. -Keeps others well informed and prioritizes audiences, accuracy, and timeliness. -Seeks and shares productive feedback with candor to help others grow, celebrating the effort, progress, and everyday wins of colleagues.

The BIM Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of technically excellent, operationally efficient, and future-ready BIM services. They combine leadership, technical mastery, and a deep understanding of Henderson’s BIM framework to enable teams to produce higher quality work with greater consistency. -10 or more years of relevant experience required. -Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, or BIM / drafting technology preferred. -High school diploma or GED required. -Comprehensive knowledge of technical needs of the industry and proven track record of quality monitoring, maintenance and improvement. -A minimum of 2 years leadership/management experience preferred. -Comprehensive knowledge in discipline of expertise and track record of technical excellence in that field. -Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description. -Demonstrates empathy and builds strong relationships with colleagues. -Advanced experience with BIM related tools (Dynamo, Python, PyRevit, Clarity, and Content Catalog), preferred. -Subject matter expert in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks required. -Demonstrated ability to mobilize company technical strategies through project execution. -Ability to read, write and communicate in English. -History of contributing to technically sound teams, as well as ability to motivate and coach others. -Confronts exclusionary behavior and participates productively in discussions of diverse, sensitive societal topics. -Demonstrated success in implementing BIM standards and workflows. -Navigates ambiguity and change in a positive way, proactively seeking support from leadership when needed. -Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. -Recognizes opportunity for improvement, creating and supporting processes and feedback to improve results.
