The Role

Overview

Observe and manage construction of water and pipeline projects for AE2S

Tasks

-Maintain and prepare appropriate files, reports, and records for documentation purposes including daily reports, tracking reports, photos, close out paperwork, and other information related to the project. -Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles. -Ensure appropriate communication between the Owner and Engineer to keep all parties updated on progress and quality of the project. -Monitor and document Contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with plan and specification requirements. -Understand and monitor project budgets and follow up on related tasks as assigned; coordinate Change Orders with the Project Manager. -Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -Attend meetings and follow up with other construction representatives and personnel related to scheduling, workforce, material delivery, change orders, RFI, start up, etc. -Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and manipulate or move materials. -Drive and navigate vehicles or mechanized equipment including but not limited to all-terrain vehicles or water craft. -Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs as well as moving the whole body such as running, maneuvering, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. -Work with Contractors to ensure the project document requirements, process, schedule, and related contractual obligations are understood by Contractors performing work for Owner. -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear. -Perform construction observation and administration on AE2S water reservoir, pipeline, pump station, and facility projects. -Represent AE2S in a highly professional and respectful manner at all times.

What You Bring

-Related construction field experience. -May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town. -Ability to travel and work remotely with overnight stays as required. -5+ years of construction experience or engineering-based construction observation and administration experience (willing to consider candidates with less experience). -Strong written and oral communication skills. -Understand duties and responsibilities under Engineer’s Agreement with the Owner, as well as the Contractor’s Contract with the Owner for each project to ensure obligations and expectations are met. -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. -Ability to walk up to 10 miles on uneven terrain. -Experience on pipeline, water, wastewater, or rural water projects. -May require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 75 pounds.
