Tasks

-Establish and maintain knowledge to describe in detail, Ballard’s services within the Power, Water/Wastewater, Industrial, Environmental, and Transportation Industries. -Monitor and improve business processes through analysis and collaboration to ensure customer satisfaction. -Establish and maintain strategic customer relationships that lead to strategic leads and opportunities. -Coordinate pre-show planning, attend, and complete post-show activities for National and regional trade shows. -Report on market conditions, activities, and trends, including customer or prospect changes, technical developments, market dynamics, and competitive strategies. -Perform market research to identify new opportunities to target. Capture those targets in the CRM. -May visit project sites and be able to work in varied weather conditions and in a construction environment, around equipment/machinery. -Strategically partner with the TCG Business Development group, ensuring strong collaboration between Ballard and TCG business development. -Provide support for the preparation of customer presentations and deliver presentations and pitches to prospective clients. -Work with the BD team to support the strategic identification and implementation of new markets.

What You Bring

-Self-starter and able to work autonomously -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team -Established collaborative work style. -Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate very well with all levels within the organization -Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or equivalent education/experience -Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications. -Strong keyboarding skills. -Five years’ professional experience in the business development department within an A/E/C firm. -Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, oral and interpersonal skills. -Must possess a professional demeanor that builds trusting relationships, will reflect favorably upon the company, enhance its reputation, and promote goodwill -Highly motivated and high-energy in nature, with the ability to function well in a fast-paced team environment with continued growth and development -Proven track record in Ballard’s markets of the Power, Water/Wastewater, Industrial, Environmental, and Transportation Industries. -Well organized and high attention to detail -Clearly and succinctly articulate Ballard’s strategic vision to key stakeholders and potential customers. -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time. -Experience with a CRM Database, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
