Overview
Lead major electric transmission projects, overseeing contracts, budgets, schedules and stakeholders.

Tasks
-Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including regular reporting on project progress, risks, and milestones. Foster transparency and engagement, addressing stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. -Provide emergency storm restoration support during weather events. -Facilitate the permitting process by liaising with relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements. Proactively address any permitting challenges or delays to minimize project disruptions. -Ensure compliance with the Capital Delivery process by overseeing the development and finalization of MSA (Master Service Agreement) and construction contracts. This includes managing preliminary engineering, baseline schedule, detailed cost estimate, risk profile, and resource strategy. -Monitor contractor site activities to ensure compliance with National Grid SHES standards, Health & Safety requirements, Environmental legislation and OSHA regulations -Manage and co-ordinate Contractors and project teams to successfully deliver projects to time, cost and specification and with minimal disruption. -Manage project finances and schedules, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and timelines. Identify and address any deviations promptly, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and optimize project efficiency. -Monitor and control the investment throughout the process providing regular project monthly status reports including: SHE performance, milestone progress, risk management and competent, accurate and timely financial forecasting information to support regulatory reporting including cost recover, and business and capital planning. -Collaborate closely with customers to understand their requirements, expectations, and feedback. Foster positive relationships, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. -Manage siting, permitting, regulatory approvals including cost recovery mechanisms, and customer/community commitments.

What You Bring
-Demonstrate exceptional personal initiative, integrity, and effective interpersonal skills while fostering positive and collaborative relationships with company personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives, and town/city officials. -Comply with internal business management system (BMS) for major projects. -Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferred. However, candidates with degrees in other relevant fields, coupled with significant experience in project management, engineering, construction, and operations, will also be considered. -Valid driver’s license. -3-5 years of experience in engineering, project management, utility construction, or equivalent relevant experience. -Microsoft Office, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Point, Excel, Word and MS Teams experience.
