Journeyman Lineman - Energized Transmission

Install, maintain, and repair energized transmission lines.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and safety documentation in compliance with company and client requirements -Interpret transmission plans, job specifications, work orders, and engineered drawings -Install and sag conductor, string wire, and work with hot sticks and live-line tools when required -Coordinate closely with crew foremen, site supervisors, and safety personnel on work sequencing and job hazard analyses (JHAs) -Safely construct, maintain, and repair 69kV–500kV transmission lines, structures, and associated hardware -Climb poles and towers, operate bucket trucks and digger derricks, and perform work at elevated heights -Conduct pre-task tailboards and participate in site safety meetings and audits -Operate heavy equipment (e.g., line trucks, pullers, tensioners, cranes) under strict safety procedures -Support storm restoration and emergency response efforts as needed across Texas and surrounding regions

What You Bring

-Completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program (preferred) -Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces and to lift up to 75 pounds -Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to maintain positive customer relationships -Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a clean driving record -Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and practices as well as safety regulations and practices -Willingness for Barehand/Live Line Training as well as Helicopter Training -Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment -Your choice of PPO, HSA, FSA -Availability to work overtime and respond to emergency situations
