Tasks
This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and clean energy, supporting investors, developers, and utilities on high-impact projects in offshore and onshore wind, solar PV, energy storage, and hydro. You’ll take the lead on complex project finance and M&A transactions, guiding institutional investors through the full lifecycle of investments — from development to divestment. Working closely with technical, financial, and commercial experts, you’ll deliver market-leading insights that shape the transition to a low-carbon economy. -Contribute strategically to business planning, market positioning, and thought leadership in the renewable sector. -Drive business growth through proactive client engagement and new opportunity development. -Lead and advise on major renewable energy transactions, ensuring successful financial and commercial outcomes. -Develop and manage relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and developers. -Oversee delivery of advisory projects from concept to close, maintaining the highest quality standards. -Mentor and lead a growing team, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.

What You Bring
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director to join a leading advisory firm, driving large-scale renewable energy transactions across the UK and international markets. -A leadership mindset with the ability to build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams. -Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for clients and stakeholders. -Experience working with institutional investors or lenders on complex deal structures. -Strong background in project finance or M&A within the energy or infrastructure sector. -Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CEng, MRICS, CFA, or equivalent). -Proven experience advising on renewable energy transactions – ideally across wind, solar, storage, and hydro assets.
