Tasks
-Prepare equipment specification packages, and construction work packages to be checked by senior colleagues to be used by internal and external stakeholders -Participate in local Professional Development Programs, Toastmasters, and more to develop your skills -Work collaboratively to share the results of your work with senior members of the discipline and / or other Hatch groups -Perform field verification and provide field support during construction. -Work on challenging projects and problems and gain experience in the office and on project sites -Join in charitable, social, and sports activities with other Hatch employees -Work independently applying engineering principles to perform calculations for mechanical equipment design for industrial buildings and processes. -Participate in office and site safety training and inductions as needed to support office and site activities -Collaborate with diverse teams locally and globally -Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions

What You Bring
-Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail -Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects -Must be working towards graduating in 2026, or recently graduated, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. -Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges -Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community -Willingness and ability to travel and work in other Hatch offices or project work sites (including remote sites) as needs and opportunities arise -Academic or work experience with Mechanical software AFT Fathom, Ansys, Sidewinder, MathCAD, and Bentley MicroStation CAD software is an asset. -Previous relevant coop and summer work terms or internships in Mechanical engineering is an asset -Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Become knowledgeable of various mechanical equipment, analytical software and tools, piping systems and specifications, discipline workflows and execution, and other industrial components / processes you are assigned to assess
