Tasks
-Support SCM Category Management in establishing long-term strategic supplier development plans to facilitate product/service roadmaps and risk prevention strategies. -Participate in value engineering and supplier cost reduction activities. -Utilize advanced quality practices and tools to analyze risks and systemic issues and improve supplier quality. -Develop technical reports, business correspondence, and create procedures, manuals. -Measure, monitor, and improve supplier performance, reduce variation / waste, and Cost of Poor Quality. -Work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Engineering to define process parameters and criteria [Critical to Quality (CTQ) features] to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet Oceaneering product, process, or service requirements. -Lead assessment, due-diligence, communication, and mitigation of supplier risk for assigned area of supply. -Lead cross-functional teams in the qualification of suppliers of critical hardware / challenging engineering packages, through assessment of the suppliers’ manufacturing capability to fabricate and deliver our products/ services. -Assist suppliers with the understanding and execution of Oceaneering’s Quality Tenets. -Mentor and guide Quality Engineers and Project Engineers in supplier capability assessments and audits related to quality systems, process controls, and manufacturing capabilities. -Lead change management to ensure flawless implementation of process changes. -Manage the implementation and execution of supplier corrective action / preventive action plans. -Produce well-written technical reports, develop, and make presentations. -Perform supplier capability assessments and audits related to quality systems, process controls, and manufacturing capabilities. -Lead supplier development projects that gauge supplier process capability, reduce variation, improve capability, availability, and performance. -Lead problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers.

What You Bring
-Experience with Deep Submergence Systems. -Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or extensive equivalent technical experience. -Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, and general knowledge of what is required in a complete. engineering / Purchase Order package to be provided to a supplier. -Skills to effectively present information and respond to questions. -Project management experience. -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, project managers, clients, customers, and the public. -Understanding and familiarity with general industry standards (ASME BPVC.VIII, IX, AWS D1.1,1.6, ASTM, ANSI, etc.). -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, technical procedures, or government regulations. -Advanced knowledge and ability to evaluate manufacturing and production processes. -Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with no supervision. -Strong written and verbal communications. -Extensive experience in Quality / Supplier Quality Engineering positions. -Qualified, competent, and certified as an ISO 9001 lead auditor. -Experience as a manufacturing engineer with materials, welding, machining, pressurized components. -Ability to develop First Article Inspection documents, review/recommend changes to supplier provided Inspection and Test Plans. -Extensive experience working in an ISO9001 QMS (Quality Management System). -Ability to utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance in the analysis of current and future products. -Advanced knowledge of government compliance and regulatory standards. -Ability to evaluate quality of manufacturing and production processes against good manufacturing practices, company purchase order specifications, engineering package, quality codes, etc. -Familiar with various machining and measurement devices (CNC). -Experience in applicable mechanical, welding engineering disciplines . -Thorough understanding of basic manufacturing techniques; set-up, machining, casting, forging, NDE, dimensional, welding, and general mechanical design. -Ability to assess the effectiveness of suppliers’ quality controls and recommend improvements. -Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems and principles and a variety of operational excellence processes. -Knowledge of NAVSEA Acquisition Programs. -Knowledge of the Navy Quality Assurance and Certification programs, including Level 1, SUBSAFE, and DSS-SOC. -Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt), or equivalent certification.
