Tasks

-Perform value engineering assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality -Manage cost planning and financial reporting, ensuring projects remain within budget and are financially viable -Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to budget and quality standards -Lead the preparation of cost estimates, tender documents, and bills of quantities for various construction projects -Oversee contract administration, including contract negotiations, variations, and claims management -Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, managing inquiries regarding costs and procurement -Provide mentorship and support to junior quantity surveyors, promoting a culture of continuous improvement

What You Bring

-Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions -Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools -Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline -Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders -At least 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction or civil engineering environment -Professional qualification such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is highly desirable -Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques
