Tasks
-Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards. -Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department. -Analyze processes and procedures to provide suggestions for process improvement. -Assists with monthly status reports, and monthly closings. -Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports. -Codes such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system. -Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders. -Prepares batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions. -Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons. -Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email -Process remittance information from checks, drafts and wire transfers for invoices provided by vendors, reviewing instructions accompanying items to determine proper disposition and crediting accounts in accordance with standard procedures. -Attaches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of accounting and operating systems -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. -Accounting experience -Computer skills need to be excellent and broad based and strong customer service skills need to be apparent. -Intermediate Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office skills -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. -Customer Service experience -Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Organization and communication skills must be highly developed. -Ability to multi-task -Ability to meet deadlines -Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. -10-key by touch -High school diploma -2-4 years accounts payable or general accounting experience -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Ability to follow up on pending issues -Excel experience
