Overview

Install, program, troubleshoot, and service networked fire alarm systems at customer sites.

Tasks

-Perform installation/programming on fire alarm systems. -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals. -Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specifications. -Complete and submit all required tasks-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of electronic and digital test equipment. -Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals. -Ability to lead & work well with team members. -Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes. -Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. -NICET level II or ability to obtain in first year. -Able to multi-task and prioritize in a short period of time. -High School Diploma or equivalent -Able and willing to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. -Able and willing to travel overnight if required. -Able and willing to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. -Minimum of 5 years of documented experience installing Fire Alarm Systems. -Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures for large fire alarm systems -Experience using hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices. -Complete necessary certification courses on internal and external products used. -Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test. -Able and willing to perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs. -Able and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, to meet customer requirements. -Two-year associate’s degree in Electronics; Network; Computer Science or related field. -Extended knowledge of DOS and Windows. -Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
