The Role

Overview

Support preconstruction procurement and onboarding of contractors for a defense infrastructure project.

Tasks

-Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Policies, processes and statutory requirements as they affect the project’s operations and ensure that the tender process and design reflect these. -Once a main contractor has been awarded the contract, you will be responsible for the onboarding and mobilisation of the contractor, this will include but not be limited to, the development of the construction phasing, logistics, laydown areas, stakeholder interface and construction planning works, as well as design related activities. -Assist with the development of sub-contract scopes as well as the main works scope (for a D&B contract) -Assist with the procurement, selection and onboarding of contractors and subcontractors to complete the work scopes.

What You Bring

-Would suit an engineer / project manager with 3-4 years professional experience seeking commercial and preconstruction exposure -An awareness of the procurement process and a willingness to learn and gain experience. -NEC3/4 contract experience. -Working towards accredited membership at a relevant professional institution (ICE, CIOB etc.). -Experience at a similar level on a major project or in a highly regulated environment. -Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice. -IT competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system). -Experience working in a nuclear environment. -Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering or project management (or equivalent experience)
