Manage multi-state payroll for 500+ employees ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

Tasks
-Actively contribute as a member of the HR & Payroll Teams by collaborating on shared goals, aligning efforts across departments, and supporting team priorities. -Process employee changes and updates in the payroll system. -Applies accounting principles and critical thinking to analyze, research, and resolve payroll discrepancies. -Prepare and process weekly payroll for 500+ employees. -Backup other payroll team members as needed. -Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with employees and project teams. -Support and participate in company-sponsored events and initiatives that promote team engagement and culture. -Support training needs for supervisors on the use of the timekeeping system. -Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with internal colleagues -Attend and engage in internal and cross-functional company meetings. -Verify employees are properly set up in payroll systems. -Administer and manage garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, and other payroll deductions. -Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system. -Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely, professional manner. -Participate in Lean events and actively support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the McGough Way. -Perform duties of other Payroll team members and others on the HR Operations team, as needed, to support the completed payroll process across the organization. -Participate in relevant training opportunities for personal and professional growth, including leadership development and human resources topics. -Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information. -Follow and reinforce standards of work, ensuring consistency and accountability.

-Prioritizes competing deadlines and adapts efficiently to changing business needs. -Collaborates successfully with cross-functional teams, fostering trust and productive working relationships. -10-15+ years of payroll experience -Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and process improvement capabilities. -10+ years of payroll experience, including 5+ years of multi-state payroll administration -Possesses in-depth knowledge of payroll tax laws, deductions, garnishments, and all relevant compliance requirements. -Performs effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining focus, precision, and professionalism. -Communicates clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization, translating complex information into easy-to-understand language. -Demonstrates exceptional organizational, analytical, and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively. -Exhibits advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems, with a strong aptitude for data accuracy and reporting. -7-10+ years of experience with multi-state taxation -Displays creativity, diplomacy, and composure when resolving challenges or addressing sensitive issues. -Shows meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all payroll and reporting tasks.
