Overview
Lead design & development of electronic gas metering hardware.

Tasks
-Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and technical reports. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables. -Design of full lifecycle of Electronics systems. -Control and monitor objectives of hardware design team. -Lead the design and development of electronic gas metering systems, circuits, and component selection/definition. -Design for manufacturing techniques -Design of microprocessor / micro-controller based products, ASIC, FPGA design -Timely completion of design and documentation for manufacture. -Own the component selection process, ensuring that all engineers follow R&D selection and approval processes. -Ensure completion of design and test specifications and associated documentation for the hardware design as required. -Ensure electronic hardware designs meet Company, national, international, regulatory, statutory and customer requirements, EMC design, safety, environmental standards. -Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability. -Ensure that fully traceable requirements are written for all electronic PCBAs. -Ensure completion of electronic hardware designs meet product specifications. -Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electronics engineering. -Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities. -Ensure completion of all documentation for the hardware design as listed in company processes. -Responsible for signing off all project schedules, cost estimates, product cost targets, and technical design authority.

What You Bring
-Ability to take ownership of all project aspects while demonstrating good decision-making skills. -Experience in high volume manufacture. -Pspice or similar circuit analysis and simulation tools -Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE). -Experience in the design of similar devices i.e. measuring instruments. -Experience within a multi-national/cultural environment -Experience with gas metering or within the gas utility industry is highly preferred. -Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Effective communication within team and business stakeholders -Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems. -Understanding of Product Development Processes. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. -Experience of working with flow measurement. -Experience of product development for high volume manufacture. -Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Successful performance of design. -Minimum of 7 years of experience in electronics design and development. -Willingness to travel internationally. -Strong understanding of analog measurement, signal integrity, microcontrollers, power supplies, EMI, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB). -Experience designing around embedded RF (e.g., ISM, cellular) is a plus. -Strong Root Cause Analysis skills -Expertise of Low power design.
