Tasks

-Provide direct technical support to engineers at all levels. -Produce and review specifications, drawings, design calculations, reports, and tender documents. -Attend client meetings and maintain strong working relationships. -Monitor project finances, ensuring work is delivered within budget and programme. -Carry out site surveys, inspections, and condition reports across the UK. -Direct client liaison and relationship management. -Conducting site surveys and on-site project management. -Contribute to fee assessments and assist in preparing fee proposals for new projects. -Oversee quality inspections and ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards. -Manual and software-based design calculations. -Managing and mentoring junior engineers. -Preparing tender packages, analysing tender returns, and producing budget costings. -Lead electrical design and project management across multiple building services projects. -Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality output across the design team. -Help shape and maintain electrical engineering standards within the organisation.

What You Bring

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. -Experience producing detailed electrical building services designs from concept to completion. -Strong background working within a building services consultancy (or design-focused role for a contractor). -HNC, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. -Knowledge of Building Regulations (including energy-related controls), CIBSE guides, IEE Regulations, CDM, and relevant British Standards. -Hands-on CAD experience; ability to produce manual mark-ups and drawings.
