The Role
Overview
Program and optimize CNC/laser cutting orders, ensuring 90% material utilization and quality.

Tasks
-Work cohesively with team members, the direct Supervisor, and all internal customers. -Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and correct as required -Troubleshoot and correct programming issues -Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives with a goal of improving processes and increasing accuracy within the team. -Program applicable cutting and panel bending stations in the Press department -Cross train on multiple cutting stations to ensure adequate backup/coverage throughout the Programming team -Strive to ensure that programming KPIs are met and / or sustained (On Time, Quality, Productivity, Continuous Improvement)

What You Bring
-Ability to read manufacturing drawings -Problem solving abilities -High level of accuracy and attention to detail -High attention to detail -Interpretation of technical drawings -Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred -Post-Secondary Education preferred (technical) -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written -Ability to multitask -Consideration of tooling used to cut certain materials, speed of cut or adding features (for example – embossing) -Ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met -Proficiency with MS Office Suite
