The Role

Overview

Oversee daily field operations, safety, quality, scheduling and subcontractor management.

Tasks

-Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer. -Conduct quality inspections. -Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports. -Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates. -Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project Manager. -Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager. -Inspection of self-performed and Subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with contract. -Monitor costs, including labor time and material. -Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts. -Direct day to day on-site supervision of field labor force. -Attend and participate in project meetings and coordinate meetings. -The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and climb as necessary.

What You Bring

-OSHA-30 and SST Certification preferred. -Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office products. -Strong understanding of the Design Build Project Delivery process -5+ years of Civil Construction. -4-year Engineering Degree or equivalent field experience -Ability to be approved by agencies/owners as required -Strong decision making/problem solving skills. -Relevant work experience -MTA C&D or MNR Experience on Design Build contracts or other Transit Environment Preferred -Familiarity with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders. -Strong ability to read drawings and specifications. -Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through personal actions and mentoring others. -Excellent time management and organizational skills. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
