Overview
Design and oversee civil/geotechnical projects, including site investigation and CAD work.

Tasks
-Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member -Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testing -Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings, and designs -Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings

What You Bring
-Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies -Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable -1-3 years’ experience preparing Geotechnical Engineering reports, including site investigations, soil analysis, and foundation recommendations -1-3 years’ experience with Geotechnical engineer knowledge -Ability to carry required instruments and equipment -Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages are highly desirable. -Ability to lift 50 pounds -Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed. -Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering -At least 1 year of experience working on GDOT projects preferred -Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc. -The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat. -Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability Analysis -Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
