Overview

Lead bridge inspections, produce reports, perform load ratings, supervise team, and travel across the US.

Tasks

-Lead bridge inspections, develop inspection reports, and perform structural load rating calculations. -Have the physical ability to perform field inspections of inservice bridge and culvert structures, tunnel structures, highway structures, overhead sign structures, hydraulic structures, and metal traffic signal poles. Physical demands include positioning extension ladders, maneuvering small boats, driving long distances, confined space, air travel, occasionally working at night, and walking long distances on uneven surfaces.

What You Bring

-Mobile Elevating Working Platform (MEWP) Operator Certification for lifts and under bridge inspection vehicles (UBIV) preferred -NHI 130053 Bridge Inspector Refresher Training, if applicable, preferred -Be willing to travel within the Unites States to inspection sites. -NHI 130078 Inspection of Fracture Critical Steel Bridges Training preferred -Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various multidisciplinary teams. -BS in Civil Engineering preferred -Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred -Have the ability to travel for multiple night stays during the week. -Minimum of 5 years’ bridge/structural inspection and design experience preferred -This position is subject to a preemployment drug test. -NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of InService Bridges Training preferred -Experience in asset management data software (i.e. AASHTOWare BrM) preferred -Local candidates are preferred -UAS Pilot (FAA Part 107 certification) with structural inspection experience preferred
