Tasks

You’ll work independently across multiple sites, while also collaborating with a supportive team to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Your input will also contribute to capital and operational projects, helping to ensure new assets are designed with maintainability in mind. -This role involves working in confined spaces. -Provide accurate asset performance and repair data to support decision-making. -Perform planned maintenance to reduce downtime and improve asset reliability. -Manage budgets and maintain financial control related to maintenance activities. -Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and internal procedures. -Deliver efficient instrumentation maintenance and installation services across operational sites. -Investigate recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions. -Diagnose and resolve faults in instrumentation and systems-based equipment.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a skilled Instrumentation Field Service Engineer to support the reliability and performance of our assets across the North West. This is a hands-on role involving planned, reactive, and proactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards. -Familiarity with pumps, motors, and rotating equipment in process industries. -Proven experience in electrical maintenance or engineering, ideally in a field-based or utilities environment. -Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with teams and contractors. -Participation in an out-of-hours standby rota is required. -Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in a relevant discipline. -Full UK driving licence (due to the mobile nature of the role). -Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments and permit-to-work systems. -Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation. -Access to financial wellbeing tools and resources.
