Detect and reduce water leaks for Wessex Water as a Leakage Technician

Tasks

-Assuming responsibility for general admin tasks, i.e., electronic timesheets submissions, weekly vehicle checks and defect reporting -Achieving KPI targets and delivering leakage detection/reduction within DMA’s -Training and mentoring assistant leakage Technicians -Forming and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and the client -Assess, diagnose, and determine the most appropriate solution to reduce leakage and fully support the delivery of regulatory targets and work to pinpoint leakage with a level of accuracy that delivers a great service for clients -Attending excavations requested by R&M to assist leak location -Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers. -Ensuring that Health and Safety is maintained

What You Bring

-Have good hearing -Willing to nights, weekends and overtime as required -Full UK driving licence -You will enjoy working outdoors, as most of your work is conducted outside (rain or shine) -Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also). -You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways. -A good standard of basic maths and English -Basic IT skills -Please note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role and a DBS check will be undertaken.
