Tasks

Review work orders and confirm materials, measurements, and machine settings match production requirements. Assist in training new operators or line employees as directed. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated door-building machinery in a fast-paced production environment. This position ensures that all doors are produced to specification, quality standards, and within designated timeframes. The operator plays a key role in maintaining the flow and pace of the production line. Operate pre-programmed, computer-controlled machinery used in door fabrication and assembly. Monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities and make adjustments as necessary. Communicate equipment issues or downtime to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly. Maintain proper pace of the line to meet daily production goals without compromising quality or safety. Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration on machinery as assigned. Maintain accurate production logs and documentation. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure doors meet company standards and specifications. Prior experience in a manufacturing or door shop, mill shops or cabinet shop environment preferred. Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to machinery noise, dust, and material handling. Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (up to 50 lbs). Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
