The Role

Overview

Assist extrusion operator to efficiently produce quality products in a 24/7 manufacturing plant.

Tasks

-Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to production assistants, assistant operators, operators and team leaders as needed. -Monitor, complete, and document quality checks to assure quality of the products (color, surface, size, etc.) meets product standards prior to packaging, as required. -Perform housekeeping duties in the production area. -Contribute to accident-free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations. -Assist the department in producing a quality product based upon product specifications; complete production operator reports with high attention to detail. -Perform placement of pallets, proper packaging techniques, and attach labels for finished material according to process instructions and product specifications.

What You Bring

-Ability to read, write, and understand the English language. Basic mathematical proficiency in the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions. -Understand and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures. -Ability to stand for complete shift; kneeling, lifting overhead, bending climbing and crawling are often required. -Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment. -1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred; however, no prior experience is necessary. -Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures that can become very hot depending on the weather. -Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, read gauges and use similar measuring devices. -Ability and interest in working a 2-2-3 schedule. -High School or GED required -Ability to perform the physical demands of the job including: Push / Pull / Lift / Manipulate 10lbs – 100lbs.
