The Role

Overview

Maintain and support electrical systems for commercial properties.

Tasks

-Maintain and service ATS/MTS equipment and backup generators. -Coordinate with outside contractors on equipment service and repairs. -Support electrical projects, including permitted work and inspections. -Partner with the Lead Campus Electrician to maintain all campus electrical systems, including lighting, emergency lighting, lighting controls, and backup power. -Provide temporary power for events—handling setup, monitoring, and breakdown per manufacturer guidelines. -Troubleshoot and repair power interruptions, outages, and lighting issues. -Manage electrical supply and material inventories for repairs and projects. -Perform regular preventive maintenance (PM), including scans and inspections of all electrical systems. -Support property and facilities-related work across campus—we work as one team.

What You Bring

-Journeyman level license or above is a plus. -Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership ability. -Vocational/technical training certificate or college degree in a related field required. -Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a commercial property setting (or equivalent education/experience). -Must meet health and physical qualifications for the role. -Proficiency with PCs, tablets, Energy Management Systems (EMS), building automation, and fire alarm systems.
