Tasks

-Prepare and review technical reports, design plans, specifications, and cost estimates. -Assist in the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations for new project opportunities. -Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. -Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients, ensuring effective communication and strong client relationships. -Manage all phases of municipal engineering projects, including scope development, budgeting, design, permitting, and construction administration. -Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, environmental, and utility engineers. -Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements. -Represent the firm at public meetings, council sessions, and client presentations. -Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred. -Proven experience in the design and management of municipal infrastructure projects such as roadways, water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems. -Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills. -8+ years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, with demonstrated project management responsibilities. -Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with GIS a plus. -Strong knowledge of applicable municipal design standards, permitting processes, and funding programs. -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
