The Role
Overview
Locate underground utilities using maps and equipment while driving to sites.

Tasks
-Indicates utility locations through the utilization of paint and flags -Safely and successfully perform duties all year round -Represent Congruex in a positive and professional manner at all times -Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use -Perform physical tasks required to successfully complete day-to-day operations -Utilizes the provided mapping tools and other location information, along with locating equipment, to locate underground utilities including, but not limited to electric and gas utilities, telephone, and other communication lines -Travel overnight to various sites as requested -Perform duties in standard and high-risk areas

What You Bring
-Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement -Ability to operate all equipment safely and productively -Must be able and willing to work outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions -OSHA 10 -At least 2 years of recent experience in underground utility locating -Routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting -Pass a pre-employment drug test and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) -CDL Preferred -Must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery -Must be able to stand, walk, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time -Basic computer skills -Meet physical demands - lift and/or move 50 to 150 pounds as well as stand and walk lengthy distances (1+ miles) over uneven terrain -Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear -Ability to perform all work outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions -Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds -Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with the crew, leadership, and clients -Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time -Valid Driver’s License (unrestricted)
