The Role

Design, analyze, test and document mechanical components for gas power product portfolio.

Tasks

-Support tendering bids with specific calculations and recommendations. -Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective actions (CAPA) to improve product reliability, quality, and performance. -Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders ie. Controlled Title Holders, analysis experts, and global sites. -Create design documentation, including drawings, layouts, and diagrams. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs. -Conduct testing and validation of new and existing designs and analyze post-test data. -Work within teams for project execution and process improvement. -Perform thermal, stress, and modal analysis of components within the gas turbine, steam, generator, aeroderivative, and powerplant accessory space. -Design and analyze mechanical components throughout the gas power product portfolio. -Lead engineering focal for new Qualifications supporting GEV and supplier production. -Participate in peer and design reviews, solving complex analytical problems. -Comply with R&D processes, manage milestones, and seek peer validation. -Take technical ownership of mechanical hardware and apply mechanical principles.

What You Bring

-1–3 years of experience in Mechanical or Fluids Engineering and/or Quality. -Strong organizational skills, communicating with transparency to deliver project milestones -B.S. in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical Engineering. -Open-minded, self-motivated, and empowered to challenge thinking to dream big and smart risks. -Familiar with AI and possess a continuous improvement (Lean) mindset. -Passion for innovative mechanical and aero-thermal design. -Familiarity with ANSYS, NX, Python, VBA, and other analytical tools. -Demonstrated capability in collaborating within a team and customers to create an inclusive environment. -Strong focus on safety, quality, execution, and process rigor. -Ability to rapidly shift priorities based on business needs. -Capable of breaking down complex problems and executing to solution.
