Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

Design civil engineering earthwork, roads, foundations for GBSD program.

Tasks

-Perform formal calculations and drawings. -Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team. -Development of grading and backfill design and drawings. -Assist with boring oversight, and site inspection and review of existing facilities. -Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution. -Execute to schedule requirement while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product. -Foundation design and drawings.

What You Bring

-Broad knowledge of the application of Civil engineering design principles. -Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense. -Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact. -Road design and design documents. -Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as Bechtel Corporate guides and standards. -Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). -Experience in complex excavation approaches and construction execution, field experience is preferred. -Experience with use or knowledge of Revit and/or InRoads. -Experience with Microsoft office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs. -Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively. -Relevant experience includes related specifications. -Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000. -Registered Professional Engineer in USA (Civil Engineering). -Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide. -MS degree in Civil or related Engineering, from an accredited university.
