Tasks

-Providing technical sales training on new and existing renewable and hybrid technologies -Offering engineering advice to Commercial teams on the technical components of bids -Managing outline engineering and cost deliverables for large RFQs/Tenders (specifically those over $10M USD) -Leading concept development and ensuring the accuracy of outline engineering for complex sales enquiries -Supporting material specifications and costing inputs for bespoke purchases -Translating technical requirements from RFQ/Tender documents into implementable solutions -Collaborating with Sales Teams to understand customer needs and develop engineered solutions (for renewable, hybrid, and microgrid projects) that are practical, meet requirements, and align with financial targets -Attending customer meetings and delivering presentations on technology and application overviews -Working with the Modeling, Pricing, and Project Engineering teams to develop detailed technical proposals

-Ability to manage multiple project work streams simultaneously -Must be a team player, action-focused, reliable, resilient, and self-reliant, demonstrating a positive change orientation -Strong coaching, development, and leadership skills -Must be fully conversant and have practical experience with key technologies, including: Renewable Power (Solar PV, Wind), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hybrid generation and Microgrids, Power generation equipment and associated support infrastructure -A minimum of 5 years' experience in power engineering and/or renewables. -Excellent communication skills and self-motivation -Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and other regions. Must be culturally sensitive with an understanding of international business protocols; cross-cultural work experience is a plus -Numerate and data-driven with strong analytical skills -This position requires a high degree of professionalism, resilience, and customer-facing ability -Fluency in English is required, with additional languages highly regarded -Proven experience in direct customer interactions for high-value contracts -The role demands a strong background in power engineering, particularly within the renewables sector -Ability to view situations objectively and impartially -An Engineering degree is required, with Chartered status being highly desirable.
