Tasks

-Review designs for fit, function, and accuracy to ensure compliance with standards -Prepare and present project documentation including calculations, drawings, and technical reports -Apply creativity and strategic thinking to anticipate and resolve engineering challenges during construction while maintaining project objectives and requirements -Perform equipment take-offs from design drawings and coordinate procurement -Travel intermittently to project and customer sites to support field teams and contractors -Design and specify medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems for mining and heavy civil construction projects -Ensure final deliverables meet customer requirements and internal design standards -Perform fault current calculations, arc flash analyses, and coordination studies for power distribution systems -Manage multiple projects simultaneously, directing the efforts of engineers and designers -Collaborate with vendors to acquire and specify off-the-shelf components

What You Bring

-Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering -Strong project management and organizational skills -Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities -Experience with EasyPower or similar power system software (training available for the right candidate) -Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution -Additional Beneficial Skills: Autodesk Electrical or LT, Revit, Document Control, Hydraulic System Proficiency, Microsoft Office -Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain licensure within 2 years (preferred)
