Tasks

-Preparation of Bridge rehabilitation plans and document development as needed. -Duties may include bridge analyses and load rating calculations including 3D FEM modeling as needed. -Performs field inspections according to requirements of the MassDOT Bridge Inspection Manual and the FHWA National Bridge Inspection Standards.

What You Bring

-1-2 cycles of internship experience in Bridge Inspection highly desired -Must have good written communication skills in order to document findings and prepare inspection reports. -Must be able to work in confined spaces, work adjacent to live traffic, work in or around water and be able to work under adverse weather conditions. -Must be able to work at heights, on ladders, on scaffolding and on aerial lifts, or other bridge inspection access equipment and must be able to climb. -Proficient in MS Office Suite. -Experience with AutoCAD, CsiBridge, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, AASHTOware BrM/BrR and MDX is a plus. -Must be able to work overnight as required, including work within the railroad right-of-way. -Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) License -Bridge Load Rating experience. -Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -Excellent organizational skills. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
