The Role
Overview
Supports procurement of construction materials/services, aiding the Purchasing Manager.

Tasks
-Promote the use of preferred supplier agreements and e-catalogues across project teams -Maintain accurate purchase order and supplier records -Track supplier performance, costs and delivery accuracy -Assist in servicing material requisitions in line with company procedures and project timelines -Assist in resolving account queries and ensure documentation is managed in line with internal processes -Participate in planning and lookahead meetings to ensure early procurement engagement -Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement workflows and data accuracy -Support communication between procurement, site and project teams -Source and negotiate pricing for construction materials and services under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager -Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve material supply or scheduling issues in a timely manner -Maintain supplier relationships and support ongoing supplier review and performance management

What You Bring
-Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines -Working towards or willing to pursue a CIPS qualification (support available) -Familiarity with COINS or similar ERP platforms -Willingness to travel to sites across Ireland as required -Exposure to major construction projects -Good communication and interpersonal skills -Training or experience in procurement systems or digital tools -Basic technical understanding of construction materials and systems -Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification -Minimum two years’ experience in administration, buying or procurement support roles -Demonstrated interest in procurement or supply chain management -Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to learning -Strong organisational and numerical skills with attention to detail -Knowledge of procurement compliance and reporting practices -IT literacy including Microsoft Office and familiarity with procurement or ERP systems -Experience within the construction industry or a related sector
