Overview

Assist delivering substation and transmission projects, supporting design, cost, schedule, safety.

Tasks

-With a commitment to Safety and Environment, actively manage and report on Safety and Environment. -Regular site visits to audit construction activities and progress. -Manage and communicate with consultants and AltaLink project team members on project scope, objectives, accountabilities and commitments -Manage and coordinate multiple customers and changing priorities. -Assist in financial management of projects and the creation of monthly cost forecasts. -Assist in the creation of applications for regulatory approvals. -Assist in the management of consultants and construction contractors. Includes the creation of schedules, contract documents and the review of invoices.

What You Bring

-A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license. -Experience working with Substation engineering/construction would be an asset. Project Management experience would be an asset. -Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes -Experience working in SAP would be an asset -Proven track record of good attendance and job performance -Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook. -Superior organizational and time management skills. -An Engineering student who has completed two or more years of study and is enrolled in a Co-Op/Internship program at a recognized University -Capable of managing multiple competing priorities. -All candidates must demonstrate key behaviors and meet identified expectations outlined in our four cultural pillars - one team, continuous improvement, customer focus and personal accountability
