Tasks

-Collaborate with and support engineers and project managers across various projects. -Perform calculations integral to the electrical systems design. -Prepare instrumentation datasheets and maintain an up-to-date instrument list. -Design systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC – NFPA70) -Execute projects with involvement from conceptual design through completion, working with other engineers and design team members. -Work closely with vendors to support vendor-submitted data for technical reviews and production. -Oversee assigned project efforts to ensure adherence to budget and schedule. -Participate in and support design and/or coordination reviews with clients and other project team members.

What You Bring

-PE license or willing to pursue obtaining your Professional Engineers license -Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel -Experience with industrial instrumentation and controls -The position requires travel up to 20% of the time to various unanticipated client locations throughout the United States -2+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of industrial manufacturing facilities and utility infrastructure spaces -Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic. -Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCSs) is preferred -Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred, but not required -U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or the foreign degree equivalent -Leverage knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCSs), power distribution, network architecture design, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
