Tasks

-Approach complex engineering challenges with creativity and problem-solving. -Lead the planning and design of a wide range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects, including: -Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables. -Manage and deliver engineering projects from concept development through final design, permitting, and construction support. -Collaborate with internal teams, including CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians, to develop comprehensive engineering solutions. -Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff. -Interface with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies to build and maintain strong professional relationships. -Travel occasionally to client sites across the U.S. as needed. -Stormwater planning and design

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Strong leadership, time management, and organizational abilities -North Carolina PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required. -Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in water resources -Strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (2D modeling experience preferred) -Maintain composure and professionalism under high-pressure or fast-paced situations. -Demonstrated client/project management experience is highly preferred -Familiarity with GIS tools and applications is a plus -FEMA floodplain analyses and permitting (No-Rise, LOMR, CLOMR) -Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent software -Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources -Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. -Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management regulations -Experience with NCDOT standards and hydraulic-related pre-qualifications is desirable -Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
