Tasks

-Accountable for PLC/HMI/SCADA programming in office and onsite. -Ensure all supporting documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately. -Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages. -Provide client technical support via telephone and remote access support to commissioned sites. -Meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs. -Set up computers, networking equipment and configuration. -Troubleshooting system errors. -Manage testing, start-up and commissioning onsite. -Drawing electrical or mechanical schematics for process demonstration. -Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety and reliability.

What You Bring

-Exceptional client management skills -Class5 drivers’ licence and acceptable driver abstract required -2+ years’ experience PCL programming with the industrial sector -Competent with all Microsoft Office applications -Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule -Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages -Willingness to travel up to 30% -Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail -Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them -Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment -Knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes -Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups -Strong written and oral communication skills -An undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering would be an asset
