Tasks
-Provide specialized knowledge in programming, feasibility, laboratory planning, cleanroom design, process layouts, and material and personnel flows. -Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices. -Develop and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. -Lead and manage architectural projects for scientific, laboratory and pharmaceutical clients, ensuring successful and timely delivery. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, designers, engineers, and contractors, to achieve project goals. -Provide design direction and ensure that life science projects adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations, including current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and biosafety standards. -Implement effective cost control measures and risk management strategies. -Supports, guides, and directs the architectural team through all phases of design: initial programming, planning, feasibility & concept development, preliminary design, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration. -Conduct regular quality checks on project deliverables to ensure high standards of design and construction are maintained. -Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients. -Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. -Understand and address client needs and expectations, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project. -Review and approve architectural plans and specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements.

As a Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the design and execution of life science projects from conception to completion. The life science Project Architect will be responsible for translating our client’s technical workflows into facility designs that support highly regulated environments. Join Lamar Johnson Collaborative and contribute to creating innovative and impactful life science spaces! -Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. -Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines including Food & Drug Administration (FDA), European Union (EU) Pharmaceutical Legislation, and ISO 14644 Cleanroom Standards. -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. -Proficient in relevant software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software. -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members. -Registered Architect with a current license. -Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering healthcare projects of varying scales. -Minimum of 7 years of architectural experience with a focus on life science and technology projects. -Excellent communication and presentation skills. -Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
