Will-call/curbside Department Specialist

Tasks

-Verify item quantities and descriptions to ensure order accuracy and completeness. -Collaborate with warehouse teammates to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient order flow. -Verify and receive ground/parcel shipments and customer returns as required. -Follow all safety procedures for material handling, forklift operation, and equipment use. -Follow company safety and compliance policies and successfully complete required training. -Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence. -Communicate potential customer concerns or business changes to management. -Uphold security and control at this key customer interaction point. -Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup with precision and attention to detail. -Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Will-Call/Curbside Department. -Communicate proactively with sales and warehouse teams to resolve issues quickly and accurately. -Confidently assist customers who purchase and/or pick up merchandise at the Profit Center. -Receive and document incoming material, verify quantities, and report discrepancies such as damage or shortages. -Accurately process and fill Sales Orders generated at the will-call counter. -Verify pick ticket dates, obtain signatures before releasing material, and ensure documentation accuracy. -Contact customers via phone or text message to inform them their order is ready for pick-up. -Represent the Moore Supply brand with professionalism, urgency, and teamwork. -Use computer and RF systems to process orders, verify inventory, and update transactions.

What You Bring

-Read, write, speak, and understand English. -1+ years' experience in customer service or counter sales; contractor sales preferred. -Be able to learn to operate forklifts and other warehouse material-handling equipment. Must be able to lift and move materials up to 80 lbs. -Have at least one year of warehouse and material handling experience. -Be able to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or unexpected situations. -Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers. -Demonstrate willingness and desire to train and invest in knowledge of products sold in the profit center. -Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center. -Be able to learn and operate computer related, order entry, and inventory systems. -Demonstrate outstanding customer service, verbal communication, and generous listening skills and a team oriented mindset. -Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment. -Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
